Zodwa Special School is an institution catering specialized tuition for about 200 Severely Intellectually Impaired Learners. Their disabilities include Autism, Downs syndrome, Physical, Cerebral Palsy, Behavioural Disorders, Epilepsy and ADHD.
The school is situated in Atteridgeville Township, corner Maunde and Khoza Streets, approximately 5 kilometres from Tshwane CBD. It accommodates learners from Atteridgeville, Lotus Gardens, Olievenhoutbosch, Pretoria Central, Pretoria West, Thaba Tshwane, Surrounding RDP houses and Informal Settlements. Most of our learners come from poor backgrounds and sometimes single parent families whom mostly are unemployed.
The school ascribes to the Department’s policy of rendering relevant tuition to learners that will equip them for the job environment.
